Chase

Chase is my Covid Lockdown voster, yes I'm a failed voster and proud of it. Just before lockdown I reconciled with a previous partner who was mentally abusive, we had decided that I would spend lockdown with him. Three days into lockdown I realized that his behavior was never going to change because he was to far gone in his own hurts. He is involved in high-end security and the moment he was called out to client I threw all my belongings into my car and return to my home. I knew this time alone was going to be difficult and I might be tempted to return to him. Instead I decided to reach out to an animal shelter and asked if they had any kittens I could voster for them, yes they said they have a kitten but he has Feline HIV and he couldnt be with other cats. Sure I said, I'm happy to help out. When I met with Chase, he was not quite the cuddly kitty I thought he would be but a two year old male tabby. He needed loads of love and care and so did I at that time so why not do this together. Chase has been in my life since the end of March 2020 and will be until he can no longer fight the disease, I'll be there holding him in my arms when he crosses over the rainbow right into the arms of my son and my doggies, Shiver, Regal and Sambuka.
