Stray

One day we opened our back door to discover Stray, our cat, in our yard. I took pity and gave "her" a sachet of food and water. "She" quickly disappeared...only to move into our Jack Russell x Pitbull's kennel. And the dog does not like other animals. We eventually took Stray in and quickly discovered she had no semblance of hard surfaces. She jumped on everything, pushed over everything, used the bath drain as a loo (while a kitten) and ate a LOT. We eventually took her in for a spay. While at hospital, the doc called to kindly inform us that "she" is an already-neutered "he" and we can come collect him. It took us by surprise! We've had Stray almost 2 years now. He's grown into a pleasant, scratchy/biting member of the family, and even turned my husband into a pet-lover. Or as he puts it, a cat-lover. There is never a dull moment with Stray in our lives 💝😻.
