My cute baby Milo, he is a rescue dog, we adopted him and his brother Bruno (both of them is Dachshunds) just after they turned 1 year old. He was very afraid for a few months and then he started to relax, thank goodness we were in lockdown as we had ample of time with them and to give them all the love and attention they needed to realize that they will be loved in our home forever. After a few weeks, we discovered that our baby Milo had some problems, after vet visits and tests, we were referred to they animal eye hospital in Sandton. Finally he was diagnosed with SARD (Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration), so my baby turned out to be 100% blind and no treatment options is available. Today he turned into a strong and extremely clever dog! He loves to play all the time, especially with toys that make a noice and that has some texture, his favorite of course is a ball! He loves to run and go for long walks with his mommy, daddy and brothers. He loves going to the farm and to visit his grandparents, whom of course bribes him with treats, haha! Today, we couldn’t be more proud of the wonderful miracle he turned into!
